How do you use the Patio Heater? Connect the Patio Heater to an earthed wall socket. Turn
on the unit with the mainswitch on the back. Select the "Low" (600 W) or "High" (1200 W) power
setting and oscillating movement (TURN). When in oscillating mode, it is always at 1200 W.
How do you control the Patio Heater? With the accompanying remote control or by means
of the push buttons. Press "TIME" for timer; the LED display shows the number of hours set.
How do you switch the Patio Heater off? Both the ON/OFF button on the remote control
and the push button put it into Standby mode. To switch the Patio Heater off, always use the
power switch.
How should the Patio Heater be positioned? The Patio Heater should be standing on its
base. Position the Patio Heater so that the heat radiates towards the location where you want
heat. Remember not to place the Patio Heater next to flammable materials. Never aim the
heater directly at a wall.
How does the Patio Heater work? The Patio Heater has a QC-Helix
rod that emits infrared waves of heat at a different wavelength to conventional infrared heaters
that use metal heating rods. Consequently, it warms the skin without drying it out.
How large an area does the Patio Heater cover? As the Patio Heater can employ an
oscillating motion, it covers around 14 m
Does it take a long time for the Patio Heater to start emitting heat? The radiant heat
starts as soon as it is switched on.
Does the Patio Heater heat along the floor? Yes, as the Patio Heater stands vertically on a
base, it also heats along the floor.
Can the Patio Heat cope with wet conditions? Yes. Protection class IPX4 means that the
Patio Heater can cope with being outside in drizzle and still function without any problem.
Does the Patio Heater consume a lot of power? If you have the Patio Heater switched on at
the highest power setting for one hour, it only consumes 1.2 kWh.
How long does the carbon-fibre rod last? Around 3,000 hours.
How long does the guarantee last? 2 years.
