3.8.2 ROW MARKING ARM LENGTH (mod. 400/450)
See Fig. 46 and observe the following rules for correct row market
arm adjustment:
L = D (N +1) - C
where:
L= the distance between the outermost element and the row mar-
ker;
D= the distance between the rows;
N= the number of elements working;
C= the tractor's front wheelbase.
Example: D=12,5 cm; N=36 elements; C=180 cm;
L = 12,5 (36 + 1) -180 = 141,25 cm

3.8.3 ROW MARKING ARM LENGTH (mod. 500/600)
See Fig. 47 and observe the following rules for correct row market
arm adjustment:
where:
L= the distance between the outermost element and the row
marker;
D= the distance between the rows;
N= the number of elements working.
Example: D=12,5 cm; N=40 elements;
fi g. 47
In 500 and 600 models the hydraulic row marker is fl oating so that it
can adjust to any soil type. If the row marker disc is excessively ag-
gressive in special work conditions (e.g. non perfectly fl at seedbed),
the penetration angle into the soil can be reduced by moving the
bolt (H, Fig. 48) along the 3 positions on the arm support.
IMPORTANT: when the bolt is moved (H, Fig. 48), it is essential
to adjust the position of the screw (I, Fig. 48) required to keep
the row marker arm blocked during transportation.
The row marker arms have a safety bolt (G, Fig. 48) so that the
planter unit structure will not be damaged. If they happen to bump
into an obstacle, this bolt will break and so the row marker arm will
rotate to leave the equipment structure intact.
Replace the safety bolt with the bolt supplied.
