The bearing can then be placed onto the
shaft.
When the bearing is fitted on the shaft,
the Bearing Handling Tool can be safely
removed.
4.1
The Bearing Handling Tools can be
safely used with SKF induction heaters.
Check that the anti-rotation bars are not
in contact with the inner ring, as heat
may be conducted to the tool and the
bearing outer ring. The Bearing Handling
Tool can be safely used with inner ring
temperatures up to 160 °C (320 °F).
Before lifting the bearing out of the
bearing heater, you must check the final
tightening torque. Use a torque wrench
to make sure the tightening torque is
between 14 Nm and 20 Nm (10.3 -
14.8 lbf ft). Consult SKF for use with
inner rings at temperatures above
160 °C (320 °F).
