Commissioning
Plug the instrument into the contact thermometer jack on the
magnetic agitator (e.g. IKA RCT basic or IKA RET basic). The
instrument is activated when the agitator is switched on. If there
is no voltage supply between 8V and 16V DC at the contact ther-
mometer jack, the instrument must be run off the H52 power sup-
ply kit (H50 twin-jack adapter and H51 plug power supply). The
instrument will then receive the required voltage from the power
supply or twin-jack adapter.
An automatic self-test is performed when the instrument is activa-
ted. During the self-test all the segments of the LCD display are
visible (Fig.1). Then the LCD displays illustrated in Fig.2 to Fig.7
appear (standard factory setting).

control behavior in stabilized state. ">" displays Fast Fuzzy control
mode.
c) Two-Point control (Fig.12). Faster warming up than with a) and b),
severe overswinging on first warm-up.
Possible application: Using the ETS-D4 fuzzy with KSR 11 as a limit
monitor. The heater or instrument remains switched on until the set
nominal temperature is exceeded. ":" signifies Two-Point control
mode.
