Carefully remove the packaging material and unit from the carton
3.4 Disposal of the packaging
Caso believes in the importance of recycling and has selected packaging materials
that not only protect your unit from damage during transit, but can be recycled to
minimize ecological impact.
Recycling the packaging materials preserves raw materials and reduces waste. Take
any packaging materials that are no longer required to a recycling collection point for
proper disposal.
► If possible, keep the original packaging for the device for the duration of the
guarantee period in the event a return in necessary

3.5 Energy supply

The scale works with 100 LUX solar batteries. These batteries are included in the
scope of supply.
When the scale is used the first time, place it in such a way that a maximum of light
can be picked up. It is not necessary to switch on a special light. Rays of the sun or
room lighting are enough.
Expose the scale to light for approx. one minute. Then it is ready to use.
After the solar battery is charged, the display lights up.
In idle mode, when the battery is fully charged, a sun symbol starts to blink on the
display.
► Without light the solar battery cannot generate enough energy. Should you use
the scale at night or in the dark, you first have to switch on the light for approx. one
minute.
