Assembly
Install the voltage converter with suitable screws
(not included):
•
In sturdy, level locations.
•
On clean, dry, non-flammable surfaces.
•
In a well-ventilated location.
•
The vents must not be covered.
•
The minimum clearance around the voltage
converter must be at least 25 cm.
Ensure an adequate air volume, which is required for
optimal device cooling and fan operation.
Connecting to a 12 V power source
Caution!
We urgently advise having an electrically skilled
person connect the cable to your vehicle's electrical
system. Modern vehicles feature complex electrical
components. Working with such connections can
be dangers for laymen. An incorrect connection can
damage your vehicle and cause situations hazard-
ous to you and other persons.
Warning! Risk of short circuit!
Always observe the correct polarity. Avoid short-
circuiting the battery terminals.
1. unscrew the red and black terminal screw [9, 10]
at the back of the device.
2. Attach the red cable with ring [18] to the red ter-
minal [9] and tighten with the red terminal screw.
3. Attach the black cable with ring [17] to the black
terminal [10] and tighten with the black terminal
screw.
4. Connect the red terminal connection cable with
ring [18] to the positive battery terminal (marked
"P" or "+").
5. Connect the black terminal connection cable with
ring [17] to the negative battery terminal battery
terminal (marked "N" or "-").
Warning!
Risk of electric shock in the event of a defective
voltage converter without the earth connected.
6. Connect the earth connector [11] to the available
earth system (e.g. vehicle body or, for stationary
use, the potential equalisation bar or ground
spike) using the earth cable [16].
Connecting to a 230 V power source
(mains priority circuit)
Only applies to SW 1500 W, SW 2000 W, SW 3000 W
Prerequisite:
The voltage converter must be connected to a 12 V
power source.
Attention!
Data will be lost if the power supply is interrupted.
Switching power sources takes approx. 100 ms. Do
not connect data processing devices during this
time.
1. Connect the input voltage (AC) directly to the
input [6] of the voltage converters.
2. Connect the output of the voltage converter [5]
to the 220 V vehicle's electrical system.
