3. GENERAL STANDARDS

An analysis of risks has been carried out for the product as required under the Machinery
Directive This manual sets out information relevant to all persons exposed to risks, for the
purpose of preventing possible damage to persons and/or objects as a result of incorrect
handling or maintenance.
Periodically check the product labels. If with the passage of time they become illegible, they
must be replaced.

4. HANDLING

On receipt of the equipment, the unit must be unpacked and its integrity checked. Any im-
perfection could be an indication of damage to the equipment. It should be inspected and
checked for missing components.
If any damage is found or any component is missing, these must be noted on the delivery note
and a claim raised with the delivery company. Soler & Palau must also be notified.

5. INSTALLATION

5.1. OVERVIEW

Before installing the equipment in its permanent location, check that the intended location
is strong enough to support the equipment's weight.
The equipment is intended to be plumbed directly into a heat exchanger. The equipment
may be suspended from the ceiling or installed within a false ceiling. The bottom of the
equipment has four corner fittings through which it can be held in place using Ø 8 mm
threaded rods.
The equipment must never be used as a support or as a structure to support pipes.

5.2. SPACE FOR MAINTENANCE

The installer must use a space free of obstructions so that the equipment can be readily
accessed for maintenance. The space required will depend on the side of the unit where
the tube bank removal will take place. The equipment has side hatches for access to the
