2.3. Ultrasound ON / OFF

Cleaning time
Cleaning time must be kept as short as possible. Depending on the degree of soiling and the
cleaning liquid used (see the data on its label), the cleaning time varies between 1 and 15 min-
utes.
Timer operation
- Turn the knob clockwise to the appropriate cleaning time
the green pilot lamp lights up.
- The timer switches off automatically.
- You can shorten the time of cleaning or switch the unit off by
turning the knob anticlockwise.
Continuous operation (∞ position)
- Turn the knob anticlockwise until it clicks into position
green pilot lamp lights up.
- The unit does not switch off automatically, turn the knob back to "0" in order to switch off.
The unit may remain plugged in when it is not running.
To disconnect it pull the mains plug.
Important leads:
• Warmed-up liquids improve the cleaning effi ciency.
• However, the effect of the ultrasonic cavitation decreases at higher temperatures
Experience has shown that best cleaning results are achieved by using an aqueous solution
with a bath temperature of 50 to 60 °C.
• Ultrasonic energy also heats the cleaning agent. Continuous irradiation and/or the covering of
the oscillating tank may cause the temperature of the liquid to rise more quickly and exceed the
thermostat's default setting.
• Do not heat disinfectants.
• When reaching a critical temperature, the ultrasonic power is reduced to protect the electronic
components inside the ultrasonic device. This way, the internal temperature is prevented from
further rising.

2.4. Units with heating

Units marked with „H" have a built-in heating.
The heating system runs independently from the ultrasonic energy.
• Tip switch operation (fi xed temperature of 65 °C):
Heating switch on – control lamp is on.
When the bath temperature of approx. 65 °C is reached, the
heating will switch off, the control lamp remains on.
• Set the temperature knob clockwise to the selected
temperature → the thermostatic regulation is in operation:
- the yellow and white pilot lamps light up.
- the yellow pilot lamp extinguishes when the selected
temperature is reached.
