Toe-in (a):
Turning the straining screws (1) towards the front lengthens the outer steering link, the wheel is pushed outwards
via the steering knuckle arm at the back. This setting leads to faster wear on the inside of the tyres.
Toe-out (b):
Turning the straining screws backward shortens the outer steering link; the wheel is pulled inwards via the steering
knuckle arm at the back. This setting leads to faster wear on the outside of the tyres.
e) Advanced Tuning
Setting the differentials
The differentials of the vehicle are filled with grease. The viscosity of the grease blocks the differential, which is suitable for most terrains and conditions.
By exchanging the grease for highly viscose silicone differential oil, the blocking effect can be modified. The higher the viscosity, the higher the blocking effect.
• If the model swerves in bends when loaded, you can loosen the rear differential or lock the front one.
• If the model understeers when loaded, lock the rear differential or loosen the front differential.
You can select between silicone oil with a viscosity of 1000 (small blocking effect) up to 50000 (high locking effect).
Attention!
We recommend that the transmission grease is only replaced by experienced users who know their models and have adequate technical skills for
taking out and disassembling the differentials.
Setting the toe-in of the rear wheels
To set the toe-in of the rear wheels, the toe-in block has to be replaced.
To do so, unscrew the axis of the bottom transverse link. If you exchange the toe-in block with another one with a greater hole distance, the transverse links are
no longer parallel to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, but at an angle.
The alignment angle of the rear wheels changes accordingly.

Mechanical lowering

For lowering the chassis, it is also possible to reduce the rebound clearance mechanically. To do so, one screw each can be screwed in from the top into the
bottom transverse links, supporting against the chassis.
Ackermann effect
To adjust the progressivity of the steering angle of the wheel on the inside
of the curve (Ackermann effect), the steering links can be reset to other
steering points both in the steering arms and in the steering plate.
Damping
By selecting the right shock absorber oil, you can influence the shock absorbing characteristics. The oil normally used in the shock absorbers is perfectly suited
for most applications. On mainly smooth ground, we recommend more viscous oil (high viscosity).
Do not use any engine oil. We generally recommend using pure silicon shock absorber oil only.
To further optimize the damper characteristics we offer silicon oil for the shock absorbers in different viscosities in our accessories. Our product range also
includes tuning springs of various hardness.
