Operating times
Please check noise abatement regulations prevailing in your
country.
Starter cord assembly (fig. B6/B7)
1. Lift and hold operator presence bail arm B6 (3)
2. Pull the starter rope slowly to the holding bracket
3. Twist the cord through the holder (B7)
lways remove the starter cord from the holder before folding
the mower handles.
Oil Fill (fig. B1)
Check oil level with mower standing on level ground.
Fill crankcase with quality oil S E 30 up to the mark „Full" on
dipstick. (Do not overfill.) Capacity approx. 0,6 litre. Screw in
dipstick according to illus.
Filling with Petrol (fig. B2)
• Do not smoke - no naked flames!
• Switch off engine.
• void spilling petrol when engine is warm.
• Use „low-octane petrol" (do not use Super Plus).
• void petrol spillage.
• Do not inhale vapour.
ttaching of grassbox (fig. B3/M1)
1. Lift deflector lid (M1).
2. Locate grassbox hook into opening of chassis (see arrow, B3).
3. Replace lid.
Use of height adjustment (fig. B4)
Only when mower is stationary and rotating blade has
come to complete standstill.
Place hand into handle bar and depress button (1). Lift or
lower chassis until it engages into required position (2).
If possible, mow when grass is dry in order to protect turf. Do
not set cutting position too low when mowing very tall or wet
grass. We recommend an average cutting height of 4,5 cm.
Maintenance

Disconnect spark plug cap and starter key before
proceeding
Clean mower thoroughly after each mowing with cloth or
brush (fig. W2)
Do not spray with water. Keep mower in a dry room.
Change oil only
While engine is warm and fuel tank empty.
Change oil after the first 5 working hours. Thereafter change
engine oil every 25 working hours and at the end of the mowing
season. Change engine oil more frequently if working under
extreme and dusty conditions. To drain the engine oil, remove
oil filler cap, tilt machine slowly to side and allow oil to drain
from the crankcase through the filler.

Start (fig. B5/B6/B7)
• On a flat surface, if possible not in high grass.
Cold start
1. Set hand throttle B6 (1) on operate.
2. Firmly press the primer on the motor B5 (three times).
3. Raise and hold the safety bracket B6 (3).
4. Pull starter grip B7 and return it slowly by hand.
5. *Wheel drive on: Raise drive bracket B6 (5).
6. *Wheel drive off: Release drive bracket B6 (5).

Warm start
1. Raise and hold the safety bracket B6 (3).
2. Pull starter grip B7 and return it slowly by hand.
Stop Motor
Release safety bracket B6 (3).
• If the motor does not start in cold weather, press the primer.
• If the motor stops due to lack of fuel, refill with fuel and
press the primer firmly (three times).
Mowing (fig. B8)
lways mow using throttle lever setting „Power". Start engine
with mower placed on level and firm ground. Turn mower on
lawn area already mown. Do not leave mower standing with
engine running for longer than absolutely necessary.
Emptying of Grassbox
The grassbox is full and should be emptied as soon as grass
clippings remain uncollected on the ground behind your mower.
Fixing of handle
Take care that the switch cable does not become caught and
crushed when folding the handlebar (fig. M1/M2/M3).

Cleaning of Spark Plug
Check and clean regularly, reset plug gap as required (0,76 mm).
Cleaning of air filter
Refer to the engine manufacturer's handbook supplied.
Blade sharpening and replacement (fig. W1)
1. Pull off the sparkplug connector!
2. Raise the cutting height to its highest position
3. For cleaning work and blade replacement tilt the mower
back as shown in the illustration.
