Preparing the jigsaw
PS 200 E, PS 2 E, PS 2:
A covering plate can be installed in the saw bench
before installing. This improves dust extraction.
Push splinter protector (2.2) forward,
Insert cover plate (2.4, order no. 444 356) with
the side tongues (2.3) in the recesses (2.1) of
the saw bench,
Push cover plate right back,
Push splinter protector back against the saw
blade.
PS/PSB 300 Q, PS/PSB 300 EQ
A covering plate can be installed in the saw bench
before installing. This improves dust extraction.
Place the cover plate (3.2, order no. 449 657)
onesided as shown in fi gure 3 into the jig saw
table
Press the cover plate carefully inside so that
the tongues (3.1) engage in the recesses (3.3)
of the jig saw table.
PS 400 EBQ, PSB 400 EBQ, PS 420 EBQ, PSB 420
EBQ
Always use the splinterguard (4.1) when
sawing with the jigsaw installed in the
CMS module.
Warning: Disconnect from the power supply!
Attach the adaptation table (ADT PS-400) (4.4)
to the jigsaw. (see the Operating Instructions
of your jig saw)
Slide the left on/off switch forwards and insert
the switch-on clip (4.3).
After installing the machine in the retaining
panel, attach the strap (4.2) on the switch-on
clip to the clamping plate (5.1).
The ON/OFF switch on the jigsaw is now pressed
down continually. Once installed in the module,
the jigsaw is switched ON/ OFF using the switch/
connector unit on the CMS-GE.

Fitting the jig saw in the retaining panel
(1.1)
Turn the saw retainer over and position in the
recess on the CMS-GE/Basis Plus.
Place the jig saw with the rear side of your jig
saw table against or under the fixed clamp-
ing plate (5.1). The jig saw table must then be
seated in the recess of the retaining panel as
shown in figure 5.
Slide the loose clamping plate (6.2) over the
front part of the jig saw table so that the brass

fitting section of the rotary button (6.1) engages
in the elongated hole of the clamping plate.
Tighten the rotary button (6.1).

Installing the retaining panel in the CMS-
GE/Basis Plus
Insert the retaining panel in the CMS-GE/ Basis
Plus as shown in figure 7. The retaining panel
can be held against the recesses (7.1) to do this.
Turn both locks (7.2) clockwise.

Dust extraction
Connect the jig saw to an extraction unit
(see the Operating Instructions of your jig
saw).

Electrical connection
The mains voltage must correspond to the
specification on the rating plate of the jig
saw.
Insert the plug from the jig saw in the socket
on the switch/connector unit (7.3).
PS 200, PS 2, PS 300, PSB 300: Switch on the
jig saw (see the Operating Instructions of your
jig saw).
Insert the plug from the switch/connector unit
in a socket connected to the power supply in
your building.
You can now use the switch/connector unit to
switch the jig saw on and off (see operating
manual for the CMS-GE/Basis Plus).

Machine settings
Always remove the power supply plug
from the socket before carrying out any
work on the machine. Change the jig saw
settings changing the saw blade, saw tilt
function, adjusting the pendulum stroke
etc.) as shown in the operating manual
that accompanies your jig saw.

Always remove the power supply plug

work on the machine.
All maintenance and repair work which requires
the motor casing to be opened may only be car-
ried out by an authorised service centre. Damaged
safety devices and parts should be repaired or
replaced by an authorised service centre unless
otherwise specified in the operating instructions.
