they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by chil-
dren unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
– Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children
less than 8 years. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children.
– If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, it's service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
– Never touch the appliance with damp or wet hands. Do
not touch the mains cable or plug with wet hands. Always
unplug the appliance by holding the plug, not the cord. Do
not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot
surfaces. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged
cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or has
been damaged in any manner.
– In order to avoid a hazard, return appliance to the near-
est authorized service facility for examination, repair, or
adjustment.
– The use of any accessory attachment, not recommended
by the appliance manufacturer, may result in fire, electric
shock or injury to persons.
– In the case of a fault or malfunction occurring, switch the
appliance off; do not attempt to repair it yourself. Have
repairs to the appliance carried out only by a customer
service workshop that is authorised by the manufacturer.
Failure to comply with the above safety notes can compro-
mise the safety of the appliance.
– Never attempt to exchange the mains cable of the appli-
ance as special tools are required for this. To ensure
continued safety of the appliance, if the cable needs to be
repaired or exchanged, have this carried out exclusively

by a customer service workshop authorised by the
manufacturer.
– Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts. Never
immerse the cord, plug or any other part of appliances
in water: Only clean the appliance using a damp cloth.
Remember this is an electrical appliance.
– To disconnect, turn any control to "off", then remove plug
from wall outlet.
– To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons
do not immerse cord, plugs or appliance body in water or
other liquid.
– The outer surface may get hot when the appliance is
operating.
– When the appliance is plugged into the electrical socket
and whilst switched on never place hands into the bread
toasting slots.
– Do not insert foil covered, oversized foods or utensils into
the toaster as they may involve a risk of fire or electric
shock.
– Never insert sharp or abrasive objects into the slots, as this
will cause damage.
– The sides of the toaster and the areas surrounding the
bread slots become very hot during use: operating the
toaster should be carried out touching only the plastic but-
ton and handles.
– Do not cover the appliance while it is in use.
– In view of foreseeable misuse (toast of small bread slices)
the user has to be informed that taking out is related with a
risk of burning.
– Do not wrap the mains cord around the body of the toaster
during or after use. The cord storage facility is located on
the underside of the toaster.
