Additional safety instructions
•
Check that the speed shown on the grinding
tool is the same or higher than the rated
speed for the equipment.
•
Check that the grinding tool is of the correct
size for the equipment.
•
Polishing disks must be handled and
stored with care in accordance with the
manufacturer's instructions.
•
Examine the grinding wheel before using it.
Never use disks which have parts broken
off or are cracked or are in any other way
damaged.
•
Check that grinding tools are fitted in
accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
•
Make sure that intermediate layers are used
if they are supplied with and required for the
grinding tool.
•
Make sure that the grinding tool is correctly
fitted and secured before use and allow
the tool to run without load and in a safe
position for 30 seconds. Stop the machine
immediately if severe vibrations arise or any
other defects are noticed. If this should be the
case, examine the tool to find the cause.
•
If a guard hood is supplied with the electric
tool, never use the tool without this guard
hood.
•
Never use separate reducer sleeves or
adapters to make grinding wheels with larger
holes fit the tool.
•
For grinding tools with a thread insert, check
that the thread is long enough to hold the
length of the spindle.
•
The workpiece must be sufficiently secured.
•
Take precautions to ensure that flying sparks
do not cause any danger, e.g. that they do not
hit anyone or cause inflammable substances
to ignite.
•
If dust is generated during working, ensure
that the air vents are kept clear.
•
Wear eye protection and ear-muffs at all
times.
•
Personal safety equipment such as a
breathing mask, gloves, apron and a helmet
should also be worn.
•
The grinding tool will continue to turn for a
while after the tool has been switched off.
•
Do not use any saw blades.
Keep this safety information in a safe place.

Remove the packaging material and any
packaging and/or transportation braces (if
present).

Check to see if all the items are supplied.

Inspect the equipment and accessories for
transport damage.

If possible, keep the packaging until the end
of the guarantee period.
