If the patient can not lay down, use instructions below to attach the sling:
1. Put the head rest of the bed in upright position.
2. Lay the sling on the head rest of the bed. The handles must be away from the
patient.
3. Lean the patient a little bit forward and give the patient enough support.
4. Push the bottom side of the sling to the backside of the patient. You can do this with
your palm.
5. Repeat step 8 until 15 from the previous instructions except step 11.
The patient can be lifted to the laying position with the instructions below:
1. Put the head rest of the bed in upright position.
2. Put the bed at a comfortable height for you and the patient.
3. Position the patient above the bed by rolling the patient hoist over the bed. The toes
of the patient shall be pointing to the leg section of the bed.
4. Gently lower the patient in the bed.
5. Remove the mounting straps of the spreader bar.
6. Place the patient hoist out of the way.
7. Position the head rest horizontal.
8. Remove the sling. Sometimes it can be practical to leave the sling in the bed. If the
sling is left in the bed it is better to use the net polyester sling.
9. Pull the legrests gently to the side in your direction
or fold the mounting straps under the legrests between the legs of the patient

10. Roll the sling under the patient
11. Gently roll the patient on his side towards you.
12. Gently pull the sling from under the patient.
13. Roll the patient back on his back.
