Wrap the threads on the nipple with Teflon
tape.
Seal the wall around the nipple
with waterproof sealant.
Failure to seal the wall can lead
to possible water damage.
Screw the showerarm onto the nipple. Push
the escutcheon against the wall.

The extension pipe requires a ½" NPT male
nipple, extending ⅝" outside the finished
ceiling surface.
Wrap the threads on the nipple with Teflon
tape.
Seal the ceiling around the
nipple with waterproof sealant.
Failure to seal the ceiling can
lead to possible water damage.
Hold the escutcheon against the ceiling.
Screw the extension pipe onto the nipple.
