5.2 Installation and connection

•
Unpack the device and remove all packing material.
•
Locate the device in a place that can support its weight and is heat-resistant.
•
Never place the device on a flammable surface.
•
Never place the device in moist or wet surroundings.
•
Do not place the device near an open flame, electric oven, heater or other source of
heat.
WARNING! Hazard via electrical current!
The device can cause injuries due to improper installation!
Before installation the local power grid specification should be compared with
that of the device (see type label).
Connect the device only in case of compliance!
Take note of the security advice!
•
The electrical circuit of the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect
the device to a wall outlet; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
•
Place the device so that the plug is easily accessible so as to quickly disconnect the
device if the need arises.

5.3 Operation

•
Before using the device, clean it thoroughly in accordance with the instructions contained
in 6.2 "Cleaning".
•
Place the frame on a level, stable surface.
•
Place the water basin inside the frame and mount it with a screw to the hinge.
•
Leave the lid open and fill the water basin to the
marking on the side of the basin (see illustration
right). Note: Pour warm water, as this will save
time and energy.
CAUTION!
Never turn the device on without water!
Ensure the water level does not exceed the
marking.
Do not overfill the basin as the food container
must not float.
