Re fu el ling
Only re fuel the ma chine with the en gine switched off.
Do not re fuel the ma chine in en closed ar eas.
Avoid na ked flames, no smok ing.
Avoid fuel spill age.
Col lect spilt fuel in a suit able con tainer and pre vent spill age en ter ing
the soil.
Do not in hale petrol fumes.
Main te nance
Only qual i fied and authorised per sons may carry out main te nance
work.
Keep un author ised per sons away from the ma chine.
Never carry out main te nance work with the en gine run ning.
Park the ma chine on a level, firm sur face.
Work ing on the fuel sys tem
Avoid na ked flames, no smok ing, avoid fuel spill age. Col lect spilt

Work ing on the en gine
When work ing on the air fil ter, no dirt must fall into the air duct.
Do not work on the ex haust when hot; risk of burns!
When work ing on the en gine ex haust port, no com bus tion res i dues
must fall into the cyl in der.
Do not touch the pis ton with clean ing tools.
Work ing on the tamp ing plate
Wipe off any ex cess oil, col lect spilt oil in a suit able con tainer and
dis pose of in an en vi ron men tally ac cept able man ner.
Keep oily ma te ri als in a spe cially marked con tainer and dis pose of in
an en vi ron men tally ac cept able man ner.
Clean ing
Never clean the ma chine with the en gine run ning.
Never use pe tro leum spirit or other flam ma ble ma te ri als for clean ing
pur poses.
When us ing pres sure clean ing equip ment, do aim the jet di rectly at
elec tri cal parts and in su lat ing ma te rial or cover these be fore hand.
Do not place the wa ter jet di rectly in the air fil ter, ex haust or air in take
port.
Af ter com plet ing main te nance work
Re fit all pro tec tive de vices on com plet ing main te nance work.
Re pair
Only qual i fied and authorised per sons may carry out re pairs.
Ex haust gases are dan ger ous! When start ing the ma chine in en -
closed ar eas, suf fi cient ven ti la tion must be en sured!
If the ma chine should break down, hang a warn ing sign on the con -
trol arm.
Test ing
Road roll ers, trench roll ers and vi brat ing plates and tam pers must be
tested for safety de pend ing on the op er at ing con di tions as re quired,
how ever at least once a year by an ex pert.
Dis po sal of the ma chi ne af ter fi nish of its ser vi ce life
At dis posal of the ma chine af ter fin ish of its ser vice life, the owner is
obliged to com ply with na tional reg u la tions and laws on wastes and
pro tec tion of en vi ron ment. There fore we rec om mend in such cases
to con tact the fol low ing:

pro fes sional spe cial ized com pa nies en gaged in such ac tiv i ties
and hav ing the rel e vant cer tif i cate
•
the man u fac tur ers or con tract ing ser vice or ga ni za tions au tho -
rized by him.
The ma nu fac tu rer is not re spon si ble for da ma ges to he alth of owners
neit her for da ma ges to the en vi ron ment in events of fai ling to com ply
with abo ve men tio ned hy gie nic and eco lo gi cal prin ci ples.
