How to use it ?
Before first use, ensure the valve is pointing to the "CLOSE" sign.
1. Before placing any waste
into the bucket, scatter 20ml
of Bokashi activator at the
bottom of the bucket, on top
of the drain tray.

5. On top of each layer, scatter
20ml of the Bokashi activator.
9. Leave the composter sealed and closed for 14 days, recovering the
liquid fertiliser every 3 – 5 days.
NOTE! After 2 weeks, the waste will not change in appearance,
however it is chemically changed. The digestate content is rich
in essential nutrients, vitamins, and minerals and will decay 3 – 5
weeks after being disposed of.
The content is ready when the smell is like vinegar.

2. Cut kitchen waste into small
pieces in order to accelerate
decomposition.
6. Cover the Bokashi bucket
with the lid, making sure there
is a tight seal. The bucket has
to remain closed at all times.
It must only be opened when
disposing of waste. Bokashi is an
anaerobic process, therefore the
less air the better.
3. Transfer the waste into the
bucket.
7. Drain the fermentation liquid
every 3 to 5 days. The liquid fertiliser
should be diluted to a 1/100 dosage
(10 ml liquid fertiliser for 1L water).
CAUTION! Depending on the
waste, the air still present in
the composter, the degree of
hydration etc. the liquid fertiliser
may take longer to be extracted.
When used for the first time,
fermentation liquid will form
after 14 days.

Bury the waste mass into the ground
Dig a trench and bury the contents.
4. Using the trowel pack the
waste in order to remove air
pockets.

scatter 40ml of activator over
the final layer.
