• The VE model can be used for both over-
pressure and low pressure processes .
• When used in connection with the mobile de-
humidifiers, water separators, micro-filters, HEPA -
filters and the shock absorbers in the TROTEC
programme, the user possess a perfectly tuned
system which offers a whole range of dehumi-
difying combinations .
• WARNING: The turbines are designed solely
for the transportation of clean air and clean
gases . If the transportation medium contains
solid particles or other forms of contaminati
on, then a filter must be installed on the
suction side (e .g . water separator, micro-
filter) . Particular attention must be paid to
ensure that no impurities are sucked into the
compressor or enter the compressor when it
is at a standstill . This would result in damage
to the compressor, which would in turn cons-
titute a write off .
• The machines are equipped with the new
"Optiflow" LED-display. T he LED-display shows
how close to optimum the drying configuration
is . Two green LEDs . indicate optimum drying
results when the compressor is running . In
this operating range, the ratio between power
consumption and air flow rate is just right and
optimum drying results can be achieved . Five
yellow LEDs light up in steps to indicate when
circulation is prevented in the drying zone . The
drying process can be optimized by introducing
blow-in or blow-out openings or by improving
the air flow openings . The display then returns
to the green range . The red LEDs indicate that
the configuration is neither economical nor ac-
ceptable . The compressor may on no account
be put into operation .
• Both units are equipped with a combined
operational hours and kW counter . The counter
shows the exact consumption rates of the
compressor and the connected peripheral
equipment within an accuracy of +- 1% .
• The VE 6 models must be protected by a 16A;
3 ~ 400V / MP / SL power supply .
• The electrical supply is protected accordingly
during operation with the VE 6 .
• We recommend using a starting current limiter
from the Trotec programme if problems with
blown fuses arise in old buildings during opera-
tion with the VE 6 .
• VE 6 are equipped with a service socket
(max . stress 6,3A; 3 ~ 400V MP/ SL) . The socket
is protected by a safety fuse on the control panel .
• The air is suctioned in and discharged through
a side channel compressor turbine .
• The VE 6 models all have on/off switches.
• The VE-series can also be connected to a TTSL
unit which can be used for the wireless remote
monitoring of the drying process . The 3 ~ 400V
/ 50Hz power supply needed to feed the TTSL
unit is available at this connecting point, which
is protected by a safety fuse on the control panel .

Starting up

• When using a four point distributor (fig . 3 ), please
make sure that the yellow connecting stoppers,
which are screwed into the distributor, are
screwed on tight . Please screw on tightly if
this is not the case . Only unscrew the necessary
number of stoppers required for the dying process
prior to starting up the unit .
• WARNING: When using a four point distributor,
at least 1 air inlet must be opened during ope-
ration due to the power of the unit .
• The turbines in the VE-series are special high
performance designs, which have been opti-
mized for restorative drying. You should there-
fore NEVER switch on the turbines if the con-
nection stoppers are completely closed; the
immense force could warp the drive shaft,
thus resulting in a financial write-off . Each
motor is tested in the plant before delivery and
delivered ready-to-use .
• Operating range/Limit range:
Operating range: the operating range lies within
the green and yellow LEDs on the Optiflow display,
whereby the green range is to be preferred .
Limit range: the red LEDs on the Optiflow display
indicate that the setup should be changed .
The compressor is not in operation: when the
red LEDs light up in certain configurations, it
is an indication the air passage is not ideal . If
the surrounding temperature is too high, for
example, then the turbine can overheat and
activate the thermal circuit breaker . Therefore:
Provide for more stress relief openings to put
the pressure in the operating area .

• Connect the compressor to the appropriate
power supply . The unit is immediately ready
for operation .
• Press the "ON" switch.

Shutting down

• Press the "OFF" switch.
• Wait until the motor has stopped and the turbine
is no longer rotating .
• Screw the stoppers which were removed be-
fore the unit was started up back into place
and tighten accordingly .
• The motor must reach a complete standstill
before it is switched on again, as this may
otherwise result in a write-off .

Cleaning and maintenance

• Always remove the mains plug from the mains
supply before carrying out cleaning and main-
tenance work .
• Remove the front and rear panel and blow out
with compressed air and not water . When
cleaning the outer panel with water, the whole
panel sheet must be dry before it is put back
into place .
• Check the cable clamping at the power supply
at regular intervals . Check also for damage .
