The machine is intended to clean air-driven spray-guns used for painting with water-based paint systems. The coagulation
process (according to recommendations from the paint manufacturer) allows the cleaning water to be re-used. CHECK
CAREFULLY WITH THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITY TO ENSURE THAT THE FILTERED WATER OBTAINED
AFTER THE COAGULATION PROCESS MAY BE EMPTIED INTO THE REGULAR DRAIN-WATER SYSTEM. YOU
MAY NEED INFORMATION FROM THE PAINT MANUFACTURER WHEN DOING SO.
The machine is delivered in a box containing one complete unit. All you need to assemble the machine is a 10 and 12 mm
spanner. Assemble the parts according to picture 1, and secure the valve console to the body with 4 M6 nuts. Check
carefully that no hoses are jammed as the valve console is positioned. Fit the hoses to the footvalve, cleaning brush and
rinse gun according to picture 2.
The DRESTER 1000 is equipment Category 3 (ref. ATEX-directive 94/9 EC) and may therefore be placed in locations
classified as Zone 2 (ref. ATEX-directive 1999(92 EC).
Connect compressed air of 5-12 bar bar (80-180 psi) to the air inlet of the machine (No.1 picture 2). The air supply to the
machine must pass through a water trap and a filter, in order to prevent contamination entering the air system of the
machine. Failure to fit a suitable water trap and filter can result in damage to the machine which will invalidate the
warranty of the machine.
Connect a line with cold water to the water inlet of the machine (No.2 picture 2).
Connect the drain hose (see item 3 in Picture 2) to the regular drain-water system and secure it well.
Connect the ground cable to to prevent the build up of static electricity in the machine.
This manual is part of the unit and must be kept accessible at all times.
For extra security, the machine is equipped with a shut off valve (No.7 picture 2) at the connection for fresh water. SINCE
THE CONNECTOR FOR FRESH WATER IS UNDER CONSTANT PRESSURE FROM THE WATERSYSTEM, IT IS
IMPORTANT THAT THIS VALVE IS SHUT OFF AT THE END OF THE DAY IN ORDER TO MINIMIZE THE RISK FOR
WATER DAMAGES.
The machine is designed for water, or water-based solvents intended for the cleaning of spray-guns that have been used for
painting with water-based paint systems. Thinner/gunwash must NOT under any circumstances be used in this machine.
