3. Rapid beeping (5 Hz): (only with B-54903-23-3-9)
If the energy storage capability of the emergency power backup system B-5490-23-3-9 falls below a
minimum value, the controller B-54900-01-2-8 starts beeping at a repetition frequency of 5 Hz and
disables the control inputs. This prevents electromechanical actuation and the lock can only be
actuated mechanically via the door hardware.
In this case, the emergency power backup system must be replaced immediately with a new one.

To do this, pull the plug out of the emergency power backup system and detach the old emergency
power backup system from the standard mounting rail. The emergency power backup system must
be disposed of as electronic waste.

Mount the new emergency power backup system on the standard mounting rail and plug in the
connecting cable.
