Straightening basics
1. Plug the iron to the mains. It is
not necessary to touch the iron
to judge readiness.
2. Use the +/- temperature controls
to select the setting for the hair
type. You can use the chart below
as a reference. The iron will heat
up very quickly.
3. If using the ultrasonic function,
first fill the reservoir with distil-
led water. Do not fill with any
other liquids (including oil), as
that will clog the unit. To remove
and fill the reservoir, slide the

Open the black rubber cap on
the back of the reservoir to fill
with distilled water, then close it.
To replace the reservoir, simply
snap it back into the unit.
4. To turn on the ultrasonic func-
tion, switch to
5. Section dry hair evenly and comb
each section. Position the iron
as far up as you want hair to be
straightened, being careful not to
let the iron touch the scalp. Close
the iron with the hair between
the two plates and gently pull the
iron down to the end of the sec-
tion of hair you are straightening.
6. Repeat this process several times,
if necessary. Let the hair cool be-
fore combing.

type of effect, keep the straightener
moving while following the shape
of the hair style.

Fill water reservoir
WARNING - Never remove reservoir
when hot. Allow to cool before fil-
ling.
Remove reservoir from unit. Open
rubber reservoir cap and fill with
distilled water. Close rubber cap
and snap back onto unit. Turn off
the mist or fill the reservoir with
distilled water when it's empty.
• If the unit remains unused for
longer than about 72 minutes,
the auto shut-off will turn the unit
off; this option increases the life
of the barrels and provides grea-
ter safety.
User maintenance
Your iron is virtually maintenance
free. No lubrication is needed. Keep
all vents and openings clear of dirt
and dust. If cleaning becomes ne-
cessary, disconnect the unit from
the power source, let it cool and
