1. System description
The WAMAB from STORCH is a wash area for painting tools in combination with a four-stage settling tank for clea-
ning and washing water. The inclination of the spacious wash area offers an optimum drainage of the dirty water and
the high side walls with overflow protection turned to the inside, prevent the dirt from spread to the surroundings from
spray water.
After cleaning the tools, the water flows through the four-stage settling tank via the drain that separates the sub-
stances from the washing water that are heavier than water by setting in the tanks according to the sedimentation prin-
ciple.
This effect is enhanced by the use of additional sliding vane in the individual settling chambers that leads to an exten-
ded flow time and intensid´fies the calming of the water even more. Due to the dense design of the system, dour
emissions are almost ruled out completely, the clearly visible level display indicates how much water is left in the tank.
Complying with local regulations, the water that has been extracted from solid matters runs out of the overflow can be
directed to the sewage canal.
Attention: for materials that are water soluble or can be diluted in water
A 100 percent treatment of the waste water can only be guaranteed by the upstream STORCH separating system (see
5.2 Operation with separating system) that can then even be operated in a circulation process (thus, the water treated
can be reused for washing). Here it is also reasonable and economical to have the dirty water run through the WAMAB
before running it into the separating system as the separating time, and especially the consumption of separating agent
and filter material is reduced significantly.
