Continuous cleaning

The appliance must be cleaned each time after use.

Proceed as follows to clean the appliance:
1. Switch off the appliance by turning the mains switch so that it is in operating
mode "0".
2. Disconnect the mains plug from the mains.
3. Pull the air filter out of the filter slot (F.1) of the appliance by its tab.
4. To remove accumulated dust and dirt, flush the water outlet through briefly
using a high pressure cleaner (F.2).
5. Now clean the lamellae behind the front air intake grille of the appliance.
To do this, direct a high pressure cleaner onto the grille openings at a
distance of 50 cm and carefully clean the lamellae (F.3). Make sure that the
cleaning jet is always directed frontally at an angle of 90° onto the lamellae.
The cleaning jet must not be directed sideways onto the lamellae!
6. Continue with cleaning until clean water flows out of the appliance's water outlet.
7. Now clean the air filter that was removed beforehand using hand-hot water
or a vacuum cleaner (F.4).
8. Remove heavier contamination of the air filter by rinsing it in a warm soap
solution with a maximum temperature of 40 °C. Rinse it subsequently with
clear water (F.5).
9. Now replace the cleaned air filter in the appliance. Note that the air filter
must be undamaged in order to avoid damage to the appliance.

Annual cleaning

In addition to the cleaning required after each use, the interior of the appliance must
also be cleaned at regular intervals of 12 months.

Proceed as follows to clean the interior of the appliance:
1. First of all carry out all of the cleaning steps described under
"Continuous cleaning".
2. Then unscrew the housing screws from the cover of the appliance
and remove the cover (G.1).
3. Now clean the interior of the appliance and all components of the appliance,
including the electrical equipment. To do this, direct a compressed air jet
onto the components to be cleaned and blow them dry (G.2).
4. Continue with the compressed air cleaning until all components are clean
and completely dry.
5. After cleaning is completed, reinstall the cover of the appliance and screw
the housing screws tight.
6. Finally, check that the appliance is fully functional by means of a short test run.

Important information about recycling

The appliance is operated with the environmentally-friendly and ozone-neutral coolant
R407c. The coolant/oil mixture in the appliance must be disposed of properly in accor-
dance with legal and locally applicable regulations.
Electronic equipment may not be disposed of in the domestic waste, but
must be correctly disposed of in accordance with the EUROPEAN PAR-
LIAMENT AND EUROPEAN COUNCIL Directive 2002/96/EU of 27th Jan-
uary 2003 regarding used electrical and electronic equipment. Please dis-
pose of this equipment in accordance with the applicable legal stipulations
when its service life is ended.

10. Troubleshooting

The TTK 400 was checked for trouble-free function several times during its production.
However, if functional faults should still occur, check the appliance in accordance with
the following list.
The appliance does not start:
• Check that the mains switch is in the operating mode "I" (ON).
• Check the mains connection.
• Check the on-site mains fusing.
• Check the mains plug for damage.
• In the case of hygrostat-controlled operation, check the hygrostat setting.
Important: If the appliance is at a standstill, a period of five minutes must always be al-
lowed before switching on the appliance again. If this is not complied with, the fuses or
breakers may trip and components may furthermore be damaged.
