6. Electrical connections

The signal isolator SIRAX TI 807 is plugged onto a backplane
BP 902. A 96 pin connector (Model C, DIN 41 612) estab-
lishes the electrical connections between the transmitter and
the backplane. The pin connections can be seen from Fig. 5
and 6.
Please refer to our backplane instructions for the back-
plane wiring.
Make sure that the cables are not live when
making the connections!
In the case of "Intrinsically safe" explosion-
proof versions [EEx ib ] IIC or [EEx ia] IIC, the
supplementary information given on the type
test certificate and also local regulations
applicable to electrical installations in ex-
plosion hazard areas must be taken into
account.

outputs 0...20 mA, the total resistance of the
external leads (receiver plus leads) does
