4. Intended use
The bench-type circular saw is designed for the
slitting and cross-cutting (only with the cross stop) of
all types of timber, commensurate with the machine's
size. The machine is not to be used for cutting any
type of round wood.
The machine is to be used only for its prescribed
purpose.
Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The
user/operator and not the manufacturer will be held
liable for damage and/or injuries of any kind that
result from such misuse.
Only saw blades specifically designed for the
machine (HM or CV Saw blades) should be used.
Use of HSS saw blades and cutting disks is
prohibited.
To use the machine properly you must also observe
the safety instructions, the assembly instructions and
the operating instructions to be found in this manual.
All persons who use and service the equipment have
to be acquainted with this manual and must be
informed about the machine's potential hazards.
It is also imperative to observe the accident
prevention regulations in force in your area. The
same applies for the general rules of health and
safety at work.
Modifications to the machine or damage caused to
the machine through modification are no longer the
liability of the manufacturer. Even when the
equipment is used as prescribed it is still impossible
to eliminate certain residual risk factors. The following
hazards may arise in connection with the machine's
construction and layout:
Contact with the saw blade in places where it is
not covered.
Reaching into the moving saw blade (cuts)
Recoil of workpieces and parts of workpieces
from the machine.
Breakage of the saw blade.
Expulsion of defective hard metal parts from the
saw blade.
Damage to hearing if ear-muffs are not used as
necessary.
Harmful emissions of wood dust when used in
closed rooms.
Please note that our devices have not been designed
for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications.
Consequently, the guarantee will be invalidated if the
equipment is used in commercial, trade or industrial
applications or for other equivalent activities.

The impact of noise can cause damage to hearing.
The values given are emission values and therefore
do not necessarily depict the values of a safe place to
work. Although there is a correlation between
emission and immission levels it is impossible to draw
any certain conclusions as to the need for additional
precautions. Factors affecting the existing immission
level at the workplace include the duration of the
exposure, the characteristic of the workroom, other
sources of noise, etc., e.g. the number of machines
and other procedures in the vicinity. The reliable
values for the workplace can also vary from country to
country. This information should however enable the
operator to more reliably estimate the dangers and
risks involved.
Operating mode S6 40%: Continuous operation with
idling (cycle time 10 minutes). To ensure that the
motor does not become excessively hot it may only
be operated for 40% of the cycle at the specified
rating and must then be allowed to idle for 60% of the
cycle.
