Witter VL32 Instructions De Montage

MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
C 1 Centre Tube with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
D 4 M12 x 55 x 1.75mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (30mm O.D.)
D1 2 M10 x 55 x 1.5mm Bolts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (30mm O.D.)
D2 3 Spreader Plates with captive nuts
E 8 M8 x 30 x 1.25mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and 16 Flat Washers (20mm O.D.)
E1 2 Chassis Strengthening Plates
F1 2 Captive Nut Strap
G 4 M8 x 30 x 1.25mm Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers and Flat Washers (20mm O.D.)
H 2 M12 x 70 x 1.75mm Bolts and Nyloc Nuts
CB 2 M16 x 50 x 2.0mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts and Lock Washers
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
FITTING
1. Remove bumper complete with plastic wheel arch liners or drill out pop rivets and remove bumper only. Mark
position of bumper support brackets and remove.
2. Remove rear exhaust hanger and discard upper section. (On vehicles fitted with one piece exhaust bracket cut
off or bend flat the three tabs on hanger). Loosely attach Chassis Strengthening Plates (E1) to rear panel using
Bolts (E). Insert Spreader Plates (D2) into chassis and loosely attach Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (D).
3. Insert Captive Nut Straps (F1) into chassis and attach to Cross Bar (A) with Bolts (D1). Tighten Bolts.
4. Attach lower exhaust hanger bracket to left hand side arm using Bolts (G). Re-fit bumper support brackets in
original position. Re-fit bumper.
Attach Centre Tube (C) to Cross Bar (A) using Bolts (H). Tighten all bolts.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z1) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm , M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
