Witter VL51U Notice De Montage

MATERIALS
A 1 Main Crossbar
C 4 M12 x 40 x 1.75 Bolts, Lock washers, Cage nuts, cage nut retainers, 30mm O/D Flat washers.
ZE 1 Electrical Plate.
ZN 1 Neck Option.
For use with either
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball, which
dimensionally conforms to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
FITTING
1. Remove bumper: 4 screws inside each wheel arch and plastic clips along the bottom edge, also 2 off plastic inserts
which are visible when opening the boot.
2. Carefully prise the bumper from the retaining clips starting at the wheel arches.
3. Remove the bumper beam Note:(Retain the fixings as the beam must be refitted after fitting the towbar).
4. Assemble Cage nuts and retainers "C" before Offering part "A" up to the vehicle and pushing endplates inside the
chassis openings, position bar and loosely tighten fixings
5. Re-fit beam with existing fixings (fit detachable neck housing if this option chosen) and fully tighten all fixings to the
correct torques.
6. Cut the bumper as per drawing Re-fit and Attach chosen neck option.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200
Nm Grade 10.9: M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
