MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar
B 2 M10 x 35 x 1.5 pitch Bolts, Lock Washers and Plain Washers
X 6 Existing M10 Nuts with captive washers
SCP 1 Safety Chain Plate Kit
ZE 1 Retractable Electrical Plate
ZN 1 Neck Kit (V90 & S90 uses 3002 series necks, V90 CC uses 3013 series, XC60 uses 3020 series)
(V60 & S60 uses 3022 series, V60 CC uses 3011)
FITTING
1. On Cross-Country models only: Remove the wheel-arch trim.
2. Remove Bumper (6 x wheel arch screws, vertical tip screw behind wheel arch liner, 4 x screws/ along bottom edge,
quarter-turn tailgate bump-stops at each corner of the tailgate opening, rectangular plastic cover adjacent to each light
cluster)
3. Remove Steel Bumper Beam and retain fasteners (X) for use when installing the tow bar.
4. Fit Cross Bar (A) to the rear panel using the same fixing points as Steel Bumper Beam, loosely secure using existing
fasteners (X), and additional fasteners (B)
5. Assemble the chosen Neck Option (ZN), safety Chain Plate (SCP) and Retractable Electrical Plate (ZE) to Cross Bar
(A) using separate Fitting Instructions from each kit.
Note: If fitting a detachable neck, use 2-off fasteners supplied with the neck and the 2-off longer fasteners
supplied with Electrical Plate Kit (SCP) on Safety Chain Plate side.
6. Fully tighten all fasteners to Grade 8.8 torque.
7. Cut bumper using the appropriate diagram below as a guide and refit to vehicle.
Recommended torque settings:
Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52 Nm, M12 - 80 Nm, M14 - 130 Nm, M16 - 200 Nm
M12 – 120Nm, M10 – 70Nm M8- 35Nm
