CONtrOL SyStEM FUNCtIONS

CONtrOL DEvICES
StArt button - controls the operator; opens and closes the barrier depending on the current operating mode and the
logic set.
StOP button - stops the wings. This control device has priority in all operating modes and functions. The device stops
the barrier in the current position until a new command is received.
Closing photocell/safety device - this input is only enabled during closing. This devices stops the movement and controls
re-opening. When the barrier is open, as long as the photocells are covered, the barrier cannot close.
Additional safety device - Safety device input enabled during opening and closing. When this input is enabled during
opening, barrier movement is reversed for a short period and then stopped until a new command is received.
Photocells as additional safety devices - if an obstacle is detected by the photocells during opening or closing then
barrier movement is stopped. The movement will only restart when the photocells are uncovered. After a pause of 1
second, the movement will restart in the original direction.
Close - input only enabled with Semi-automatic Open/Close (PARK) and Manned logic functions. This control device
closes the barrier.
Flashing light - to signal barrier status - flashes every 0.5 seconds.
Warning light - this signals the current status of the operator: light OFF ð gate closed; light ON fixed ð gate opened
or opening; light ON flashing ð gate closing.

AUtOrEvErSE CArD
A plug-in AUTOREVERSE CARD can be installed.
When an obstacle is detected the autoreverse card cuts the power supply to the operator during opening and reverses
the movement during closing.

NOtES FOr MAINtENANCE tECHNICIANS

Compliance with Machinery Directive 89/392/EC: When
you have installed the equipment, you must complete a
Declaration of Conformity and a Scheduled Maintenance Plan in
compliance with the directive and then hand over copies of
these documents to the user.
7.2

rOUtINE MAINtENANCE

You should ask the company that installs the automation to
provide a scheduled maintenance plan in compliance with
the regulations for this type of equipment.
Batteries are consumables and as such are not covered by
the guarantee.
Do not throw away old batteries with household waste.
Dispose of old batteries using the old battery containers
provided at sales outlets.
The maintenance operations recommended by Aprimatic S.p.A.
for the electrical equipment are listed in Table 4.

Notes for maintenance technicians

Operation
 Check the efficiency of the photocells
and the electronic anti-crushing device.
Check that they are operating at the
values set by the installer.
 Check the inside of the electronic
equipment housing and clean out any
insects, dirt or dampness.
 Check that the optional emergency
batteries are working efficiently (where
installed). Change spent batteries.
 Check the efficiency of the remote
c o n t r o l b a t t e r i e s . C h a n g e s p e n t
batteries.
 Remove branches, bushes or other
obstacles which might be permanently
blocking the photocell beam.
 Test the efficiency of the automatic
differential overload switch protecting the
electrical system.
