OPErAtINg MODES
During the operating cycle the system handles the following signals:
ü StOP pulse and StArt pulse.
ü Closing safety photocell.
ü Additional safety device (photocell, safety edge ...).
ü Detection of any obstacle on the opening and closing strokes.
Operation of the automation functions in response to these signals depends on the operating mode selected.
Depending on the default settings (factory) the system operates with automatic logic. To change the logic refer to par.4.3.
The next section describes the operating modes and the signal responses for each operating mode.
AUtOMAtIC LOgIC (default logic) (S1=OFF / S2=OFF / S3=OFF)
Starting with the gate closed, the complete operating cycle is as follows:
 StArt pulse ð opening up to limit switch ð
automatically after the delay time.
During the opening cycle, START pulses will be ignored and signals from closing photocells will also be ignored. During
the closing cycle START pulses or signals from closing photocells will trigger reopening of the wings. During the pause
time with the gate open the closing photocells will keep the gate stopped and open until they are uncovered.
With this logic the terminal 6 input assumes the role of an additional safety device.
SEMI-AUtOMAtIC LOgIC WItH StOP (S1=ON / S2=OFF / S3=OFF)
Starting with the gate closed, step-by-step logic is performed using the following sequence: OPEN-STOP-CLOSE-
OPEN.
 StArt pulse ð opening up to limit switch.  Barrier open, StArt pulse ð the barrier closes.
 During opening, if a StArt pulse is transmitted ð the barrier is blocked in the current position. A further StArt pulse ð
causes the barrier to close.
 During closing, if a StArt pulse is transm itted ð the barrier opens.
With this logic the terminal 6 input assumes the role of an additional safety device.
SEMI-AUtOMAtIC OPEN/CLOSE LOgIC (PArK) (S1=OFF / S2=ON / S3=OFF)
With this logic the terminal 6 input assumes the role of closing input.
 StArt pulse ð barrier opening.  Barrier open, CLOSE pulse (terminal 6) ð the barrier closes.
 During closing, if a StArt pulse is transmitted ð the barrier opens.
MANNED LOgIC (S1=ON / S2=ON / S3=OFF)
This logic requires operator control to open and close the barrier. Each time the operator releases the control the barrier
stops.
With this logic the terminal 6 input assumes the role of closing input.
 Press and hold the StArt button to open the barrier.
 Press and hold the CLOSE button to close the barrier.
 If, during opening, both buttons are pressed simultaneously or the photocells are triggered, then movement is blocked.
ð Release the controls and then press either the opening or closing button.
PArK SPECIAL LOgIC (S1=OFF / S2=OFF / S3=ON)
Function similar to the semi-automatic OPEN/CLOSE (PARK) operating mode.
The terminal 6 input assumes the role of closing input. A CLOSINg command during opening is saved (see table for
specific functions).
