SyStEM StArt-UP: FUNCtIONAL tEStS AND
vErIFICAtION
When the connections have been made the system functions
with the factory settings (default) (see Tab.2).
 Check the status of LEDs for the devices connected.
 The barrier should open when the first start pulse is
transmitted (except when the opening limit switch has been
triggered). If on the other hand the barrier doesn't open
check the setting of JUMPEr JP5 and if necessary invert the
motor connections.
WARNING - check there are no obstacles before operating
the barrier for the first time because the motor torque
is set at the factory at the maximum level.
4.3

PrOgrAMMINg USINg A DIP-SWItCH

To program the operating mode (LOgIC) and accessory
functions, you must set the DIP-SWItCHES on the unit called
SW1 (fig.4) (see tab. 3).
WARNING - switch OFF the mains power supply
before changing the configuration of the dip-
switches and then reconnect the power supply.
4.4

ADJUStMENtS USINg A trIMMEr

P1 - Electronically adjusts the motor torque.
Warning - the trimmer is set to maximum value at the
factory . Therefore check there are no obstacles before
operating the barrier for the first time.
 Rotate the trimmer in an anti-clockwise direction to reduce
the power used by the motor to operate the barrier.
 Rotate the trimmer in a clockwise direction to increase
motor power.
WARNING - a reduction in the motor torque causes
reduced barrier movement speed.
WARNING - each time the barrier is operated the unit
disables the torque adjustment function for the first 2
seconds thus enabling the motor to supply maximum
power.
P2 - Adjusts the slowdown speed to reduce the iner tia
accumulated by the barrier during movement.
P3 - Adjusts the automatic logic delay time before barrier
closing, therefore 0-120 sec. For opening mode PARK
SPECIAL therefore 1-5 sec. Max.
P4 - Adjusts the barrier slowdown start. The adjustment
range is between 0 seconds and the maximum time set using
DIP-SWITCH 5: therefore between 0 and 5 seconds. (DIP
ON) or between 0 and 15 seconds. (DIP OFF). The time
count set on the trimmer begins at the start of movement.
Slowdown begins when the time count is complete.
4.5
PHOtOCELL tESt FUNCtION
 Set DIP-SWItCH n° 6 to ON to enable the photocell tests
before each closing movement.
Execution of the tESt
Before the closing movement, the system powers down
and then powers up the transmitter photocell (connected
to terminal board K5 as shown in Fig.7) to check correct
functioning.
