The maximum enclosure entry areas and entry quantities can be calculated from the overall dimensions of the enclosure.
The usable entry area an maximum quantity of entries is calculated using table 10.4.1 and table 10.4.2.
The table 10.4.1 and table 10.4.2. are used to calculate the maximum number of entries allowed on each enclosure face.
For an enclosure side face the sizes are height and depth -25.4 (remove the depth of the lid.).
Subtract the face of edge clearance from each size and multiply by each other.
Finally multiply by the face area factor to give the total usable.
Available glanding area =(Height - 2 * clearance) * (depth - lid depth - 2 * clearance) * Area Factor

This calculation should always be rounded down to the nearest whole number and additional restrictions below should
also be considered.
In addition to the above the following must also be taken into account.
No entry is permitted within 40 mm of an earth stud, a mounting foot or an internal mounting lug.
The calculation takes into account the unusable area with round entries (based on minimum centres, 75% is maximum
area that can be utilised) and practical reductions to maintain functional performance requirements.
