Operation
Bluetooth®-Operation
To permit best phone reception and keep electromagnetic irradiation in the vehicle as low as
possible, always use an outside aerial in mobile phone operation.
In Bluetooth® operation, the SD tuner can be used as hands-free system for mobile phones and/or as playback
device for Bluetooth®A2DP audio streaming. Before transmission between your mobile phone or Bluetooth® device
and the SD tuner is possible, however, both devices must be coupled. This process is called "Pairing".
Pairing
•
Switch your Bluetooth® device on and activate the pairing mode here (see instructions of the corresponding
device). The device scans for Bluetooth® devices in the reception range.
•
Press the button MODE / PAIR (19) until the display shows PAIRING.
•
When the SD tuner was found, your Bluetooth® device shows the name CarBT.
•
Enter the password 0000 to couple the two devices.
•
After successful pairing, the display (5) indicates the Bluetooth® symbol .
•
If pairing was not successful, try repeating the process. The CarBT device may have to be deleted in your mobile
phone first (see mobile phone instructions).
•
To remove or create a connection, you may also select the item CON BT (connect) or DISCON BT (disconnect)
in the main menu (see "Menu Settings").
Only one Bluetooth® device at a time can be coupled with the SD tuner. If there is an active Bluetooth®
connection already, this connection must be interrupted first.
If the SD tuner or Bluetooth® device with which there is an active connection is switched off or removed
from the range, the connection is interrupted. When switching on again or when the Bluetooth® device
returns into the SD tuner range again, the connection is automatically re-established. The SD tuner
display shows the Bluetooth® icon
To permit this automatic establishment of connection, this function may have to be activated at the
Bluetooth® device (read about this in your Bluetooth® device's instructions).
