7 / MESSAGES SHOWN ON THE DISPLAY

• INCIDENTS INDICATED, WHICH YOU CAN RECTIFY YOURSELF
In this section, we explain how you can rectify these incidents very easily yourself.
Your machine automatically detects some operating incidents and indicates these by particular messages
shown on the screen.

•INCIDENTS INDICATED THAT REQUIRE A BREAKDOWN ENGINEER
Important :
Check that the message displayed is not for an incident you can repair yourself.
Your machine also detects some operating faults that systematically require the services of a breakdown
engineer and informs you of this through other messages of we provide some examples below.
Messages
When one of these messages is shown, remember to note it down so that you can pass it on to your
breakdown engineer when you call him to assist him in his task.
NB:
Before calling your breakdown engineer, we recommend that you do the following:
- Release the "On/Off" button and disconnect the plug for at least 10 seconds.
- Reconnect the plug and restart a washing cycle.
If the fault displayed persists, call your breakdown engineer.
Important :
Do not restart a washing cycle if the drum remains locked or if you notice water around your
machine of if you notice a burning smell.
•AFTER-SALES SERVICE
Any work on your machine must be performed either by your dealer or by a qualified electrician approved
by the manufacturer or his agent.
When you call, cite your machine's complete reference (model, type and serial No.). This information is
shown on the information plate fixed to the rear of your machine.
Possible causes / Remedies
Filling fault. Check that the water tap is open, then press the "Start/Pause" button
again to restart the cycle.
Draining fault. Clean the pump filter (see the chapter on "CLEANING THE PUMP
FILTER" for the procedure), then press the "Start/Pause" button again to restart the
cycle.
Drum rotation fault. After switching the machine off, check whether an item of washing
or an object has slipped between the drum and the side of the tub, causing a blockage
(see the section on "MAINTAINING YOUR MACHINE: removing the drum's paddle" for
details on how to access the bottom of the tub).
Locking fault. Check that the lid is closed correctly, then press the "Start/Pause"
button again to restart the cycle.
Maintain the pump filter (for washing machines only). Check that the pump's filter is
clean and clean it if necessary (for how to do this, see the section on "MAINTAINING
YOUR MACHINE: Cleaning the pump filter").
