8. SMS commands

You have the option to control the camera remotely via text messages (SMS commands). You
can switch from photo mode to video mode and vice versa, take a picture and receive it, change
the video or photo resolution, etc.
To send a command to the device, you have to insert a code in a text message and send it to
the phone number of the SIM card inserted in the camera.
IMPORTANT
− The MMS or SMTP status must be set to "ON" (800x600, VGA or SMS) in the MMS/SMTP
setup for the SMS function to work. It will not work if the MMS or SMTP status is set to
OFF.
− Some towers do not support all commands.
− You must have a phone number entered in, in order to send commands to the phone. If
you only have an e-mail in the MMS/SMTP setup menu, you cannot use the SMS option.
The phone number in position 1 in the phone number list will be used as the "commander
phone number" and only it has the rights to edit the SMS command orders to control the
camera.
− Both MMS and SMTP allow control of the camera remotely via text messages.
The table below lists the actions or setting changes you can request and the various text
messages which you have to send to your camera:
