3. Product description
DRYPOINT
MDp
The
®
membrane dryer
has been designed for the drying of com-
pressed air. The integrated nanofilter re-
moves aerosols and particles from the
compressed air before it is dried.
The device version with purge air shut-
off operates with lower purge air demand
without compromising the quality of the
drying process.
DRYPOINT
MDp
®
versions for
operation in potentially explosive
atmospheres are available on re-
quest.
3.1 Proper use
DRYPOINT
MDp
The
compressed air
®
membrane dryer is designed for the dry-
ing of compressed air and the in-process
removal of oil, condensate and particles
from the processed compressed air.
• Do not exceed the permissible operat-
ing parameters (see technical data).
• For proper operation, a certain oper-
ating pressure is required (see techni-
cal data).
• The device version purge air shut-off re-
quires a higher operating voltage.
For operation in plants with extra high
compressed air quality requirements (e.g.
food industry, medical technology, labora-
tory equipment, etc.), the device operator
might need to take additional measures
to monitor the compressed air quality, en-
hance the safety of downstream process-
es and prevent damage to persons and
plants. It is the responsibility of the device
operator to ensure that the prescribed op-
erating conditions are maintained during
the entire operating time.
3.2 Improper use
• The device is not suitable for operation
in potentially explosive or aggressive at-
mospheres.
• It is equally not suitable for operation
with corrosive gases.
• Incorrect handling and operation of the
device outside the technical specifica-
tions is not permissible.
• The membrane dryer must not be ex-
posed to continuous solar or heat radi-
ation.
• The device is not suitable for use in CO
systems.
