- Position the bead presser tool near the bead breaker roller (approximately 3-4cm).
Lower it until the bead reaches the height of the rim groove (Fig. 34b).
Risk of crushing. Positioning the bead-pressing tool against the tyre could
be dangerous in some respects. Never place any part of the body, particularly
hands between tools and wheel.
- As the turntable turns, the bead pressing tool will revolve with the tyre, keeping the
bead inserted inside the rim groove and thus avoiding any effort or danger to the ope-
rator and for the rim.
Proceed with care in this stage to avoid applying excessive stress to the tyre. It
is recommended to slightly lift up the presser tool at 6 o'clock in order to release
a little bit the pressure on the tyre bead.
