This tool does not use wheels designed for face-grinding. If your
cut requires a smooth, finished edge, use an appropriate tile fini-
shing tool to refine the tile edge.
Plunge or interior cuts (Fig. D)
The size and versatility of the MULTI RAZER 85 make it
an excellent option for making plunge or interior cuts into a
workpiece such as flooring, paneling, or siding.
1. Mark the surface to be cut with the desired cut lines
2. Loosen the depth adjustment lever 7 for the foot to release
and go to zero depth adjustment. Let loose the depth adjustment
lever 8 during this cut.
3. Support the bottom of the tool on the workpiece and align the
disc 10 of the tool with the cutting line.
4. While firmly grips the tool, press the switch 1 and let the disc
10 of the tool to reach full speed.
5. Slowly plunge/lower the tool and wheel into the workpiece.
6. Guide the tool forward and complete the cut.
7. Release the Paddle Switch 1 and allow the tool to come to a
complete stop.
8. Remove the tool from the workpiece.
9. Repeat steps 3-8 as required to complete your cuts.
Flush cutting
First, consider the desired height of the flush cut. For flooring
installation, add up the thickness of your flooring adhesive, the
flooring itself, and any underlayments or other material that will
add to the thickness of the finished floor.
1. Install disk 10 flush cutting in the tool as described in
"Assembly of the cutting disc 10 flush"
2. Adjust the depth of the disc 10 to the desired depth setting.
3. Turn the tool on one side so that the footing rests flush against
the floor.
4. Firmly grip the tool. Turn tool on and allow it to come to full
speed before entering workpiece.
5. Complete your cut and remove the tool from
the workpiece before turning the tool off.
Cutting large sheets (Fig. E)
Large sheets and long boards sag or bend, depending on support.
If you attempt to cut without leveling and properly supporting the
piece, the wheel will tend to bind, causing KICKBACK and extra
load on the motor.
Support the panel or board close to the cut, as shown in. Be sure
to set the depth of the cut so that you cut through the sheet or
board only and not the table or work bench. The two-by-fours
used to raise and support the work should be positioned so that
the broadest sides support the work and rest on the table or
bench.
Do not support the work with the narrow sides as this is an
unsteady arrangement. If the sheet or board to be cut is too large
for a table or work bench, use the supporting two-by-fours on the
floor and secure.

Straight edge guide (Fig. F)
The straight edge guide (optional attachment) 24 is used for cuts
parallel to the edge of the work, and can be used from either side
of the foot plate for cutting on the left or right side of the material.
When using the straight edge guide 24 on the left side or
right side of the tool, position guide as shown.
Rip cuts (Fig. G)
Rip cuts are easily made with a parallel guide 24. To install the
parallel guide 24, insert the rip guide 25 through the grooves 11
located on the base 8 to the desired width (a), and firmly hold the
straight edge guide with the screw (b).
RIP BOARD GUIDE (Fig. H)
When ripping large sheets, it is possible that the parallel guide
24 does not permit the desired cutting width (d). Secure with a
clamp or nail a straight piece of wood (c) of 1 inch (25 mm) in the
sheet as a guide.
