– Provide for good ventilation of the working
place.
– It is recommended to wear a P2 filter-class
respirator.
Observe the relevant regulations in your coun-

Integrated Dust Extraction with Dust Box
(see Fig. A1 – A4)
Attach the dust box 5 onto the extraction outlet
10 until it latches.
While attaching the dust box, make sure that the
holder 9 engages into the corresponding opening
of the machine.
To empty the dust box 5, press the latching
levers 11 on the side of the dust box ( ). Pull off
the dust box toward the bottom ( ).
Before opening the dust box 5, it is recommend-
ed to loosen the dust from the filter element by
gently striking it against a firm support (as shown
in the figure).
Grasp the dust box 5 by the recessed grip, fold
the filter element 12 upward and empty the dust
box. Clean the thin plates of the filter element 12
with a soft brush.
Note: The belt sander has a high removal rate. To
ensure optimum dust extraction, empty the dust
box 5 regularly after 5 minutes of operation and
clean the filter element 12 regularly.
Changing the Sanding Belt (see figure B)
– Completely pivot out the clamping lever 13.
The sanding belt 8 is now loose and can be re-
moved.
– Mount the new sanding belt 8. Pay attention
that the direction of the arrows on the inside
of the sanding belt correspond with the arrow
direction on the machine housing.
– Pivot the clamping lever 13 back to its initial
position.
– Pick up the machine and switch it on. The belt
run is automatically centred upon switching
on and during the sanding procedure.

If the sanding belt is not centred after switching
on the machine, the belt run must be readjusted
manually, if required. For this, readjust adjust-
ment screw 7 at the front roll using a screwdriver
until the sanding belt 8 runs centred over the
guide plate. Should the belt run still not be cen-
tred after this, then the sanding belt 8 must be
replaced.
Selecting the Sanding Belt
Depending on the material to be worked and the
required rate of removal, different sanding belts
are available:
For the working of all
wooden materials
For coarse-sanding,
e. g. of rough, unplaned
beams and boards
For face sanding and
planing small irregu-
larities
For finish and fine
sanding of hard woods fine
