5. Securing your Child in the
Vehicle
For the protection of your child
f Remember the following basic rule: The more
snugly the three point seat belt fits against
your child's body, the greater the safety.
f Never leave your child in the car child seat in
the vehicle unsupervised.
f Use on the rear seat:
Move the front seat forward until your child's
feet do not touch the front-seat backrest
(danger of injury).
f The plastic parts of the car child seat heat up
in the sun.
Caution! Your child can be burned by them.
When the car child seat is not in use, protect it
against exposure to intense sunlight.
f Allow your child to enter and exit the vehicle
only on the pavement side.
f Take breaks during long journeys to allow your
child to play and move about.
For safety when handling the car child
seat
f The car child seat must never be used when it
is standing freely – not even for test-sitting.
Caution! The backrest can tilt to the rear.
Always place the car child seat on the vehicle
seat before your child sits in it.

5.1 Buckling in your Child

1. Have your child sit in the car child seat.
2. Pull the three point seat belt out and guide it in
front of your child to the car's buckle
Caution! Do not twist the belt.
3. Insert the belt tongue into the buckle (10).
