clean the waterkettle on regular bases for continues
performance. never immerse the waterkettle, the base
or the plug in water or other liquids. let the waterkettle
cool off and always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
Wipe the outside of the waterkettle with a damp cloth
and dry the kettle afterwards. never use any abrasives!
To remove the anti-scalefilter for cleaning, take the
waterkettle of the base and let it cool down. do not
remove the anti-scalefilter when the waterkettle is still
warm and/or filled with water. Pull the anti-scalefilter
straight up out of the spout and clean it with warm water.
Make sure while replacing the filter to place it correctly
in the spout. Never place the anti-scalefilter loose in the
waterkettle.

5 | descALing

scale can form on the inside of the waterkettle. it may
be necessary to descale the waterkettle from time to
time. use a suitable descalingproduct for waterkettles/
coffeemachines and follow the instructions.
you can also descale the waterkettle with lemonjuice.
the acid in this juice will remove the scale. this natural
method avoids the use of chemicals. fill the waterkettle
half­full with warm water. add the juice of half a lemon.
boil the water and leave it to cool for half an hour.
throw away the boiled water and rinse the waterkettle
to remove any remainders. fill the waterkettle with
fresh water and boil it again. throw away the water and
rinse the kettle once more. Attention! never clean the
appliance with detergents. these products can damage
your waterkettle.
