Thank you for purchasing the Carmen electric underblanket. Please
read these instructions carefully before using the product and keep
them in a safe place for future reference.

• B efore u sing t his a ppliance e nsure t hat t he v oltage i ndicated o n
the product corresponds with the mains voltage in your home.
If you are in any doubt about your supply, ask your electrical
dealer or local electricity company.
• O nly specialists are allowed to do reparations. Improperly
reparations can cause considerable danger!

become trapped or rucked.

instructions in this booklet.
• D o not insert pins or any sharp objects into the blanket (H).
• D o not tuck the heated part of blanket material under the mattress.
• D o not use if the blanket is wet.
• A void p ressing c reases o r f olds i nto t he b lanket. D o n ot s witch
on if the blanket is folded, creased or rucked (I).
• D o n ot u se a ny l ead, s witch o r c ord o ther t han t he o ne s upplied
with this blanket.
• D o not coil or lay the lead on the blanket.
• I f y ou a re u nsure a bout e lectrical c onnections p lease c ontact a
qualified engineer.
Safeguard overheat protection system
• T he system will remain dormant indefinitely as long as the
blanket is operating in the normal temperature range. If for any
reason the blanket is operated in an abnormal situation or condi-
tion which would otherwise have induced a rapid temperature
rise high enough to constitute a hazard, the overheat system
should i ntervene b y c utting o ff t he s upply c urrent b efore t he
temperature reaches the point at which damage may occur.
• I n t he e vent o f t he o verheat s ystem o perating, t he b lanket w ill
cease to function.
• I t is normal for the lead from the blanket to the switch to
become warm as this is part of the heater protection circuit
extended to the switch.
• T he f act t hat t his b lanket i ncorporates t he o verheat s ystem d oes
not absolve the user from observing these instructions.

label attached to the blanket and the details that relate to your
blanket (Cleaning and Maintenance).
• W hen s toring t he b lanket, a llow i t t o c ool d own b efore f olding.

storage.
