LS14500 (backup)
For the HB4FIODL version of the SBI sensor, in the presence of the photovoltaic panel AND the
recommended lithium battery2, the charging delay does not affect the first measuring +
transmission cycle, which occurs within minutes after the battery installation.
In the outside environment, the simultaneous use of the photovoltaic charging system and a
battery makes possible to have a back-up system. This backup system is only activated if the
energy supplied by the PV panel is not sufficient for the sensor to work properly. The sensor
automatically manages the switchover between the 2 sources with priority to the photovoltaic.

II.4.
Installation of the sensor on or in a plastic container (ABS,
PC, PA, PP)
Whatever the system of fixing, the holder and the power supply of the SBI sensor, its correct
operation requires:
-
(1) Minimum DISTANCE sensor-wall: for reasons related to the optimization of the
position of the filling level measurement and avoidance of edge effects as well as the
proximity of the central hook used for raising the buried bins, we advise the installation
of the:
o D/10 to D/8 of the wall, where D is the diameter of a circular wall container (ex:
Diameter of 200 cm, installation 20 to 40 cm from the edge with minimum 20 cm
for installation on the outer or interior ceiling
