Before Initial use
• Remove all packaging and transportation safety
devices from the device that may be present.
• Wipe clean all parts of the appliance with a damp
cloth.
Electrical connection
• Ensure that the appliance voltage (see information
plate) and the mains voltage match.
• Connect the appliance to a properly installed 230 V~,
50 Hz earthed socket.
Operation
• If you are making coffee with the coffee machine for
the first time, fill the water tank with cold water up to
the maximum level mark.
• Press the button (1). A buzzer will sound and the
power indicator lights up.
• Press the (1) button again to start the automatic boiler
cleaning function for around 25 seconds.
Firstly the pump is switched on. When the 25 seconds
has elapsed, the pump switches off and the heating
element is switched on. After the brewing temperature
has been reached, the heating element switches off
and the power indicator flashes. The appliance is in
Standby mode and is ready to use.
nOTE:
If the water in the water tank cools too much, the heater
switches on again and the power indicator lights up. After
the required brewing temperature has been reached,
the heater is switched off again and the power indicator
flashes. No coffee can be prepared during the heating
phases (power indicator lights up).
• Insert one of two coffee pads into the filter.
nOTE:
The appliance can be used with 2 different filters. One
filter (4) is designed for the use of one coffee pad for
preparing a cup of coffee.
The other filter (5) can be filled with two pads to prepare
2 cups of coffee with a total capacity of 250 ml.
When using the supplied cup we recommend that you
use two coffee pads to enhance your enjoyment of the
coffee.

• Close the filter holder and insert the
filter holder into the appliance (6).
• Place a cup below the filter holder.
• Press the button (1) to start
preparing the coffee.
nOTE:
You can stop preparation of the coffee at any time by
pressing the button (1) and switch the appliance to
Standby mode.
• To switch off the appliance, keep the button (1)
pressed for three seconds. A buzzer soudns and the
power indicator switches off.
nOTE:
The appliance switches off automatically if it remains in
standby mode for longer than 5 minutes.
• Press the button (1) twice in Standby mode to start
the automatic cleaning function. The pump stops
automatically after 25 seconds.
Descaling
It is necessary to descale the coffee machine if the
preparation time becomes considerably longer.
• Only a commercially available decalcifier on a citric
acid base should be used for descaling.
• Please use the quantities stated on the pack or
instruction leaflet.
WArnInG:
• Then boil 3-4 cups of fresh water to rinse out the
residue of the limescale remover.
• Do not use coffee pads!
• Do not use this water for consumption.
Cleaning
WArnInG:
• Before cleaning, always remove the mains plug and
wait until the device has cooled down.
• Do not immerse the device in water. Otherwise this
might result in an electric shock or fire.
CAuTIOn:
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• The exterior of the device should be cleaned as
necessary with a slightly damp cloth – without any
additives.
• The filter and the filter holder are not dishwasher safe.
You can clean the parts in the normal manner in hot,
soapy water.
