Defrost water

Defrost water is led through a pipe in the insulation. The pipe leads to the back of the
cabinet, where it has got an opening. A water seal must be established before the
defrost water is led to a drain.

Maintenance

Cabinet components made of stainless steel must be maintained in accordance with
the following basic rules.
The cabinet must not be used to store or chill toxic items and an optimum level of
hygiene must always be ensured. Stainless steel is covered by a thin layer of oxide
that prevents rust formation, but cleaning agents able to destroy or damage this layer
do exist and if used can give rise to corrosion. This applies to agents containing
chlorine. Before using a cleaning agent ask the supplier for information about its
suitability for stainless steel.
If scratches are observed on a stainless surface, polish it with very fine stainless steel
wool or small polishing sponges made of artificial fibre, with pressure applied in the
polishing direction.
NOTE!
Never use ferrous steel wool to clean stainless steel and never leave
objects made of ferrous material on stainless surfaces since even small deposits of
iron can promote rust formation which, in turn, can impair standards of hygiene.
Service
The refrigerating system need no inspection, only cleaning. If refrigeration fails, first
investigate whether the unit has been unintentionally disconnected or switched off at
the socket, or whether a fuse has blown.
If the cause of the refrigeration failure cannot be found, call the supplier of the unit
giving its type and serial number.
Give the type name and part number. TYPE, SER.NO. and PART NO. are given on
the nameplate on the inside of the side panel.
