5. Before starting the appliance

5.1 Installing the safety hood (Fig. 3-5)

arrows point towards each other. Then tighten the

5.4 Assembly of the guide wheels (Fig. 8-9)
The guide wheels serve to provide comfortable
guiding of the appliance, e.g. for cutting edges (motor

be assembled or disassembled as necessary.
Disassemble the guide wheels as soon as they are no
longer needed and assemble them only while
necessary.
To assemble the screw (Fig. 8/ Item H), remove the
guide wheels from the mounts. Secure the guide

wheels (Fig. 9/Item 13) into the mountings with the
aforementioned removed screw (Fig. 9/ Item H).
To dismantle, proceed in reverse order.
5.5 Height adjustment (Fig. 1)
Undo the union nut (Fig. 1/Item 5) until the grass
trimmer handle can be moved in and out freely. Now
set the required working height and secure the handle
in this position by tightening the union nut again.
5.6 Adjusting the additional handle (Fig. 10)
Undo the securing screw on the additional handle
until it can be moved forwards and backwards without
any great resistance. Set the required position and
tighten the securing screw again.
5.7 Adjusting the tilt angle of the guide handle
(Fig. 11)
Place the grass trimmer on a firm surface. Push the
button for adjusting the tilt angle (Fig. 11/ Item K). You
can now set the handle to the required angle.
Release the pedal and allow the handle to lock into
position to adjust and fix the tilt angle. Three different
locking angles are possible.
