Tow Rope
Caution!
It is not permitted to tow vehicles with a higher overall weight as the maximum overall weight
permitted for the relevant tow rope!

BEFORE USE

Read these operating instructions through fully and store them for future reference.
Tow ropes are consumables and will break after long use. For your safety, never use a worn tow rope or tow ropes on which
the hooks are deformed or damaged.
Use the operating instructions of your vehicle or ask a special workshop whether the tow eyes are suitable for the use of
a tow rope.
The operating instructions of the vehicle manufacturer must be observed.
Always check the tow rope and ttings prior to use.
Never tow at an angle from the starting point.
Never guide the tow rope over sharp edges. This may damage the tow rope and may cause the tow rope to break.
Never use the tow rope for climbing or to hold the weight of a person.
Never overload the tow rope.
Only use the rope in an ambient temperature of -20 °C to +50 °C.

WHEN USING

Hook the tting into the eye on the vehicle. Make sure that the safety catch on the hook is engaged. The hooks must lie
in a line with the direction of pull.
When towing never pull with a sudden jerk, this causes a dynamic load and may damage the tow rope.
The tow rope is suitable for vehicles with serial towing facilities that must be mounted at approximately the same height
from the ground.
The parts of the vehicle to which the tow rope is secured during the towing procedure must be su ciently strongly
dimensioned.
For towing, the directions set out in the road tra c regulations must be observed.
The rope must be straight, thus in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, during driving.
Depending on the arrangement of the towing eyes, this may require o set driving.
The visibility between the two vehicles must be such that the rear and brake lights of the towing vehicle can be seen from
the vehicle being towed.
The towing of vehicles with defective braking systems is not permitted.
The driving conduct must always be adapted to the present tra c situation.
For safety reasons, even under favourable tra c conditions, you should not drive faster than 50 km/h.
The starting and braking procedures are executed with appropriate care.
CARE
Do not expose the tow rope to permanent direct daylight. Keep the tow rope dry and prevent contact with damp and
chemicals such as fuel. Dry the rope after each use, and lubricate the hooks.
