What to do if the saw chain lubrication is not working
Do the following if the saw chain lubrication is not
working:
•
Do a check of the oil channel in the bar to make sure
that it is not obstructed. Clean if necessary.
•
Do a check of the groove in the edge of the bar to
make sure that it is clean. Clean if necessary.
•
Make sure that the bar tip sprocket turns freely and
that the lubricating hole in the tip sprocket is not

To examine the cutting equipment for
wear
Do a visual check of the saw chain daily.

and links.
2. Examine wheather the saw chain is stiff.
3. Compare the existing saw chain with a new saw

badly worn.
4. Replace the saw chain if it exhibits any of the
conditions above.
5. Replace the saw chain when the length of the cutting
teeth has worn down to only 4 mm.
