First use
- Let the appliance heat up for about 10
minutes with the cooking plates closed.
This will remove the smell typically
encountered when first switching on a
sandwich toaster. Please ensure sufficient
ventilation.
- Clean the appliance afterwards as
described in Cleaning and Care.
Changing the cooking plates
Always allow sufficient time for the unit
to cool down before any plates are
changed.
- To change the plates, open the appliance.
- While pressing the release button, lift up
the plate towards the handle. The release

can be taken out.
- The new plate is inserted by following
the same steps in reverse order.
Before the appliance is switched on,
ensure that the new plate is correctly
inserted and locked into place.

The main indicator light switches on.
- Once the operating temperature has

placing or removing food.
- Always remove the plug from the wall
